From Hebrew כָּף (kaf, “kaph”), from Proto-Semitic *kapp- (“palm, hand”) (Akkadian 𒀉 (kappu(m)), Hebrew כַּף (kaf, “hand/foot”), Arabic كَفّ (kaff), Ugaritic 𐎋𐎔 (kp)) Doublet of kappa.
